Thank your food

The body needs nourishment to survive. We all know this.
Some choose the route of home cooking while some do not.
Some have no time to cook and some don't know how.
I am he ladder.
I never really knew how to cook, and I still really don't.
The difference between who I used to be and who I am now
is that I take the opportunities and I take the adventure.
Who says I can't add some broccoli, asparagus, garlic, and quinoa
into a wok and make a superb meal.
I just did.
I love the taste of fresh cracked pepper & sea salt.
The combination of cumin, coriander, curry, and turmeric make
this soul very happy!

Bon Appetite

Bless you meal for it holds the energy that you need to survive.

Listen to your heart

I've made a move that changes everything that I have ever known.
I knew that I grew from one coast to the middle, but did I think that I would grow moving from the north to the south......

No.

I had no idea how much more I could grow in such a short time.
Being alone is hard. Living along is even harder.

It strengthens a person to live completely on their own.
To come home to an empty home, where only my own thoughts are there to say hello, it can take a toll on a person. However, I have come to realize that maybe, just maybe, this living alone will be a good thing.

How will I know how strong I am, until I test myself?
How will you know how strong you are until you live alone?

I suggest that everyone live alone at least once in their life.
You will be amazed at who you meet along the way.
I spoke with a man tonight that I have worked with for months, but I had no idea that he felt the way that I do about living alone.... not until tonight.
Not until I opened up and spoke my truth.

Speak your truth.

Say what you want, and those who are meant to be in your life will be.
If you don't speak for yourself, who will?

Be the best

I've been noticing lately this strong pull. It does not center around growth or movement. It circles around staying the same. It asks me why change from where you are? Are you that un-happy? Before I have time to answer it tells me I'm not strong enough to change, I'm not strong enough to make myself better.

I woke up today to the sun shining and a slight cool breeze coming in my window. My pledge to myself is to become to best person that I can be. I want lungs free and clear of toxins, a heart that is light, and a mind that focuses on conquering the inner demons that plague them all.

I challenge you all you do the same.

My roommate told me this morning, when you get up each morning, you want the devil to say, oh shit she's up!

Open Road

As a wise man once sung,

"I want to live, I want to give, I've been a miner for a heart of gold."

For those whose lives Neil Young has not influenced, the man is a legend.

The precious songs of Young's career helped to complete my childhood.
I still smile when one of his tunes comes on.

(This photo was found on Google search engine.
I did not paint this, nor do I have any rights to it.)

This painting is simply for the soul to wonder through. To me it symbolizes the road to heaven and the open road of our lives.
We are all a part of our surroundings; We are made of energy.
We live, breathe and love energies.

Until my next post, I bid you all an Irish blessing,

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

If I hadn't met someone like you

I found this while randomly browsing the Internet via Google.com

I have found that over the years kindness has created love, just as the quote says.
This quote reminds me of my home.
The atmosphere radiates a simplistic world full of complexities.

I bless you, the reader, a cherished holiday season and happy future life. Even if you may be alone for Christmas eve, embrace the magic. I spent last Christmas eve decorating (and re-decorating) the tree with only myself last year. I will do the same in the coming month.

Do not take me for negative however.

I enjoy and cherish Christmas alone... just as some may enjoy being surrounded by friends and family. I survive on the independence that working all season while living alone has on a women. I live to work. I love to live. I love to work. I live to love.

Success

A very important women in my life gave me advice today that is simple and clear.
It is also difficult and challenging to obtain.
She told me,

"Relationships are successful when people
know how to communicate with one another."

Just one sentence. The meaning of it is profound and applies to everyone.
I believe that this may be one of the life lessons that as humans we must learn to survive.
Not only must we learn this, we must understand it. We must live by it.
It will take time, years upon years to follow and to live by.

Achievement of this goal will better your future relationships.

Achievement of this goal will create peace, happiness and love.

It is very simply. It is very difficult.

I ask of you today to attempt to transform your relationships.

Are you up for the challenge?

The Second Snow Fall

How I love the pale pink sky when the snow first starts to fall.
Don't you agree?
There is something comforting and peaceful about snow falling from sky.

Many times in our lives we may feel inadequate to handle the situations presented to us.
This test defines who we are as humans, and who we are as spirits.
One may start to think...

We are all where we are supposed to be.

You can handle anything. No matter the size; You are capable of it all.
Your dreams are for you to follow.

Seize the opportunity!

Just as the rain waits patiently for 32 degrees.
For dreams to become reality, simply have patience and determination and understanding.
Because just the same the rains waits to turn into beautiful magical snow,
your dreams will turn into your beautiful magical life.

Family Matters

The importance of family.

We've all heard those four words before I'm sure. Our families have always been there, even in times when we wish that they were not. Through troubles and tribulations they have continued to ride the same wave. At least that is how my families are.

I should start by saying that I have two mothers.
One is biological.
One is not.
I love both these women with the same amount of heart.

I met my second mother when I was very young and immediately fell in love with her spirit, her soul, her warmth, her grace and her love. She was a gift from above. She still is today. She introduced into my young life an equal part of good and bad. The good was great. She taught me about my inner being, and about the spiritual world. Most of all she taught me about the magic that the Universe offers everyday. The bad was terrible. Not from my second mother, but from her other daughter. I call her my sister and I speak only the truth. She is my sister, although not biological.

There came a time just before my 20th birthday that I felt I could no longer handle the chaos that my sister was stirring. She fed on the drama and fear of others. No longer could I take it. I decided after months of deliberation that the healthiest thing for me to do was cut off contact and make believe she had never existed.

Make Believe

I thought it would be that simple. It turns out that I was wrong and that now the healthiest thing for me to do was mend our torn relationship.

I am currently in the mending stage. I take each day as it comes and I pray for her every night.

I hope that this post touches the hearts of those who have dealt with, or are dealing with, a troubled family member. They are tough. They can be cruel and evil. They are reaching out for help.

I choose to love her through this. I know that one day she will survive and fight the inner demons that plague her.

Love can move mountains.
Love will survive.
Love will endure.
Love will conquer us all.

We all have the choice. Either listen to our positive light side or not.
I choose to listen to my Light.
I pray that you all do the same.

Not all stones are meant to keep

Wisdom comes from experience I have learned. Many times in my life I have felt that I was traveling along a path that others were unaware of; Others were walking along side me through the Northern streets yet they did not walk along the same journey. Mistakes teach lessons and without lessons we would not learn. I think that life is a journey paralleling the peak's of all the World's tallest mountains. At 10,000 feet it seems simple. The air is cooler and my mind feels open and free.

(I found this photo on a Google search, it is not mine).

The following photo I took in January of 2011. One of the best Winter's of my life. This place of peace was a solitude for my inner child and my soul. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did

I wish love and light on every person that has entered my life. Those who have left, if meant to be, I will see them again. If not meant to be, I respect and cherish the journey and the love that I had at one time. I understand that in order to grow, I must first let go.

Footprints

Miracles are everywhere. I believe this; I've experienced it.

I have a small rectangle prayer hanging on my wall. I do not remember ever not having it. I was born within the snow covered lands of America. When I was a small child an extremely special, strong and loving women gave this prayer to me; I am proud and grateful to call her my mama.

I recall many times reading this and while reading wondering if I too were walking alone.
My faith has always reminded my self that I am never walking alone.
You are never walking alone.
We have a set of footprints traveling along the journey, carrying us.

Do you think that the population holds more Winter or Summer loving people?
I adore Winter. One of the greatest smells on Earth is late Fall when the evenings hold this cold, crisp sharp smell. If anyone has experienced this aroma they have also felt the sensation of the first smell of winter.

Below is the poem Footprints, I hope it will help soothe the mind and soul.
Just as being in nature is comforting to our Inner Child, this specific prayer calm's my Inner Child.

We have within each of us a will and a desire stronger than we know.
We are to only ask and we shall receive.

Trust in your faith.

One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.

This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.

"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

The First

Welcome!

I am new to blogging. I find though that throughout the day some very spiritual and out of this Universe encounters happen to me everyday. I thought what better way to share with the world than on a blog.
I have made no other decisions regarding this blog other than that I created it today. I want others to be able to search my blog and read the positivity that I post and have it help them. Live can be difficult at times. If life were always simple, what fun would we have.. would we learn in we never made mistakes?

Somethings that I should warn others about: I will reference God, Lord, and the Universe. If that is going to offend anyone, I would suggest not reading this blog. I believe in karma and the essence of time. I believe that our decisions, actions and reactions are of the up most importance within life. We should make mistakes so that we learn. But once we learn, we should not repeat. Life has far too many lessons to teach us to focus only on a few.

There will be no set time for when I post. I will do my best to post a few times a week.

Have a blessed day. I wish light and love on each of you.

(a side note: NONE of these photos I post are my own. I do not own them. They are Google search results. If I do however own a photo, as it I took it myself, I will give due credit.)
