Be the best

I've been noticing lately this strong pull. It does not center around growth or movement. It circles around staying the same. It asks me why change from where you are? Are you that un-happy? Before I have time to answer it tells me I'm not strong enough to change, I'm not strong enough to make myself better.

I woke up today to the sun shining and a slight cool breeze coming in my window. My pledge to myself is to become to best person that I can be. I want lungs free and clear of toxins, a heart that is light, and a mind that focuses on conquering the inner demons that plague them all.

I challenge you all you do the same.

My roommate told me this morning, when you get up each morning, you want the devil to say, oh shit she's up!

Open Road

As a wise man once sung,

"I want to live, I want to give, I've been a miner for a heart of gold."

For those whose lives Neil Young has not influenced, the man is a legend.

The precious songs of Young's career helped to complete my childhood.
I still smile when one of his tunes comes on.

(This photo was found on Google search engine.
I did not paint this, nor do I have any rights to it.)

This painting is simply for the soul to wonder through. To me it symbolizes the road to heaven and the open road of our lives.
We are all a part of our surroundings; We are made of energy.
We live, breathe and love energies.

Until my next post, I bid you all an Irish blessing,

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

If I hadn't met someone like you

I found this while randomly browsing the Internet via Google.com

I have found that over the years kindness has created love, just as the quote says.
This quote reminds me of my home.
The atmosphere radiates a simplistic world full of complexities.

I bless you, the reader, a cherished holiday season and happy future life. Even if you may be alone for Christmas eve, embrace the magic. I spent last Christmas eve decorating (and re-decorating) the tree with only myself last year. I will do the same in the coming month.

Do not take me for negative however.

I enjoy and cherish Christmas alone... just as some may enjoy being surrounded by friends and family. I survive on the independence that working all season while living alone has on a women. I live to work. I love to live. I love to work. I live to love.

Success

A very important women in my life gave me advice today that is simple and clear.
It is also difficult and challenging to obtain.
She told me,

"Relationships are successful when people
know how to communicate with one another."

Just one sentence. The meaning of it is profound and applies to everyone.
I believe that this may be one of the life lessons that as humans we must learn to survive.
Not only must we learn this, we must understand it. We must live by it.
It will take time, years upon years to follow and to live by.

Achievement of this goal will better your future relationships.

Achievement of this goal will create peace, happiness and love.

It is very simply. It is very difficult.

I ask of you today to attempt to transform your relationships.

Are you up for the challenge?

The Second Snow Fall

How I love the pale pink sky when the snow first starts to fall.
Don't you agree?
There is something comforting and peaceful about snow falling from sky.

Many times in our lives we may feel inadequate to handle the situations presented to us.
This test defines who we are as humans, and who we are as spirits.
One may start to think...

We are all where we are supposed to be.

You can handle anything. No matter the size; You are capable of it all.
Your dreams are for you to follow.

Seize the opportunity!

Just as the rain waits patiently for 32 degrees.
For dreams to become reality, simply have patience and determination and understanding.
Because just the same the rains waits to turn into beautiful magical snow,
your dreams will turn into your beautiful magical life.

Family Matters

The importance of family.

We've all heard those four words before I'm sure. Our families have always been there, even in times when we wish that they were not. Through troubles and tribulations they have continued to ride the same wave. At least that is how my families are.

I should start by saying that I have two mothers.
One is biological.
One is not.
I love both these women with the same amount of heart.

I met my second mother when I was very young and immediately fell in love with her spirit, her soul, her warmth, her grace and her love. She was a gift from above. She still is today. She introduced into my young life an equal part of good and bad. The good was great. She taught me about my inner being, and about the spiritual world. Most of all she taught me about the magic that the Universe offers everyday. The bad was terrible. Not from my second mother, but from her other daughter. I call her my sister and I speak only the truth. She is my sister, although not biological.

There came a time just before my 20th birthday that I felt I could no longer handle the chaos that my sister was stirring. She fed on the drama and fear of others. No longer could I take it. I decided after months of deliberation that the healthiest thing for me to do was cut off contact and make believe she had never existed.

Make Believe

I thought it would be that simple. It turns out that I was wrong and that now the healthiest thing for me to do was mend our torn relationship.

I am currently in the mending stage. I take each day as it comes and I pray for her every night.

I hope that this post touches the hearts of those who have dealt with, or are dealing with, a troubled family member. They are tough. They can be cruel and evil. They are reaching out for help.

I choose to love her through this. I know that one day she will survive and fight the inner demons that plague her.

Love can move mountains.
Love will survive.
Love will endure.
Love will conquer us all.

We all have the choice. Either listen to our positive light side or not.
I choose to listen to my Light.
I pray that you all do the same.
