Footprints

Miracles are everywhere. I believe this; I've experienced it.

I have a small rectangle prayer hanging on my wall. I do not remember ever not having it. I was born within the snow covered lands of America. When I was a small child an extremely special, strong and loving women gave this prayer to me; I am proud and grateful to call her my mama.

I recall many times reading this and while reading wondering if I too were walking alone.
My faith has always reminded my self that I am never walking alone.
You are never walking alone.
We have a set of footprints traveling along the journey, carrying us.

Do you think that the population holds more Winter or Summer loving people?
I adore Winter. One of the greatest smells on Earth is late Fall when the evenings hold this cold, crisp sharp smell. If anyone has experienced this aroma they have also felt the sensation of the first smell of winter.

Below is the poem Footprints, I hope it will help soothe the mind and soul.
Just as being in nature is comforting to our Inner Child, this specific prayer calm's my Inner Child.

We have within each of us a will and a desire stronger than we know.
We are to only ask and we shall receive.

Trust in your faith.

One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.

This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.

"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
